Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 5, 2026. This page explains what information Internet Happens collects, why, and how it's used -- in plain language, not legalese.
Who We Are
Internet Happens is a freelance web design and internet marketing business operated by Christopher Bailey, serving Tulsa, Oklahoma and clients across the state. This policy applies to https://internethappens.com and covers how information is collected and used when you visit this site, submit a form, or appear as a listing in our business directory.
Information We Collect
Information you provide directly. When you submit a contact form on this site, we collect your name, phone number, email address, and any message you include. We also log the submitting IP address and approximate country for spam-prevention and record-keeping purposes.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics tools that collect standard technical information -- pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. Details on the specific tools we use are below.
Business directory information. If your business appears in our free Oklahoma business directory, the information shown (business name, category, address, phone number, website, and related links) was either sourced from publicly available business information or submitted directly by the business. See "Business Directory Listings" below for how to update or remove a listing.
Tools & Services We Use
We use a small number of third-party services to run this site, protect it from spam, and understand how it's used. We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone, for any reason.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand site traffic and improve the site over time. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to collect information such as pages visited, time on site, and general location. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can learn more or opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to monitor how this site appears in Google Search results and to identify technical issues. This tool provides us with aggregate search performance data and does not collect personal information about individual visitors.
Google reCAPTCHA
Our contact forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and automated abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, including device and application data, and sends this data to Google for analysis. This use is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. By using our contact forms, you acknowledge this processing.
Resend (Email Delivery)
When you submit a contact form, your submission is transmitted through Resend, a transactional email service, in order to deliver your message to us and send you a confirmation reply. Resend processes this data solely to deliver the email and does not use it for its own marketing purposes.
GoDaddy (Hosting)
This site is hosted on infrastructure provided by GoDaddy. As with any web host, standard server logs (such as IP addresses and request timestamps) may be retained by GoDaddy as part of normal hosting operations, separate from anything we actively collect.
Cookies
This site uses cookies placed by Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA, described above. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not run retargeting ad pixels. A brief notice about cookie use appears the first time you visit; dismissing it is remembered in your browser so it doesn't reappear on future visits.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies entirely may affect how well parts of this site function, such as spam protection on contact forms.
California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) Notice
For visitors in California: this site uses the analytics and spam-protection tools described above, which may involve automated processing of your browsing activity and form submissions. By using this site -- including browsing its pages and submitting any form -- you consent to this processing as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not consent, please discontinue use of the site, or contact us directly by phone instead of using the online form.
Business Directory Listings
Our free Oklahoma business directory lists local businesses to help them gain visibility online. If your business is listed and you'd like the listing corrected, updated, or removed, contact us at chris@internethappens.com and we'll handle it promptly.
How We Use Your Information
Information submitted through contact forms is used solely to respond to your inquiry, provide the services you've requested, and maintain a record of business communications. We do not share your contact information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained as part of our business records. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us directly, subject to any legal or business record-keeping requirements.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting us at chris@internethappens.com or (405) 426-7532.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
